Wetcast - Caststone:

How we manufacture it.

Wetcast is a manufactured concrete stone made in moulds with natural aggregates to give the appearance and aesthetics of natural stone. It is an extremely cost effective way of achieving a quality masonry stone for a relatively modest cost.

Production

Aggregates, cements and pigments are carefully selected and mixed to give a consistent homogenous concrete. The plastic concrete is poured into moulds and left to cure. They are then 'washed' with diluted hydrochloric acid to remove the surface latents to give them their stone appearance.

Quality Control & Compliance

Great care and attention is paid to the design consideration of the mix. Control procedures are key to producing high quality wetcast stone.
All our wetcast is designed to achieve a minimum strength of C35N and comply fully with all aspects of BS 1217:1997 Grade A quality.

Delivery

All our units are marked with the relevant component numbers to ensure easy identification, finally they are palleted shrink wrapped ready for delivery.

See our gallery for recent examples of wetcast projects.
